Jun 17, 2015, 11:52am EDT – BizJournals.com — Don’t worry, former Physicians Reference Laboratory employees. Your jobs are fine — for the next 90 to 120 days while the newly acquired company transitions into LabCorp.
That’s the gist of a notice that went out to employees of the Kansas company in late May after the company was acquired by Burlington-based Laboratory Corp. of America Holdings.
“The question foremost in your mind probably is, ‘What will happen to my job at PRL?’ Nothing will change in the short term,” the notice to employees states. “LabCorp and PRL have agreed that all employees will remain employed by PRL during the next 90- to 120-day transition period.”
During this period, employees will still be paid and receive benefits, but after that, there will be “individual meetings to explain the transition of your employment.”
