THE VOICE OF UNIONS AT KAISER PERMANENTE
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28

The members of every local union in the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions resoundingly ratified the 2015 National Agreement. Over the summer, our 28 Coalition locals held ratification meetings, explaining details of the contract and rallying members for implementation.

“Our Locals have approved our most comprehensive contract in the 18-year history of our Labor Management Partnership,” said Hal Ruddick, executive director of the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions. “This agreement maintains superior wages and benefits, improves life insurance, tuition reimbursement and dental benefits, and restores the pension for Southern California pharmacists, among other gains. In Her Own Words: Becky Sassaman

“I have been a Kaiser Permanente Union employee for 25 years, a UFCW member for 19 of those years. I am grateful to be a union member in a health care organization where I can have a personally rewarding career and as a single mother provide good health care and benefits for my two children while earning an industry leading wage. I became a union steward in the summer of 2000, I have been very active in working with my union to advocate these great working conditions for others. I am proud to show my children the power of a collective voice, hard work and improving lives in our community through my professional union work.” >>> Click Here to Download the Flyer
